The influences of high temperature on tribological properties of Cu-based friction materials with a friction phase of SiO₂/SiC/Al₂O₃

Cu-based friction materials have better tribological properties, high mechanical strength, and excellent thermal conductivity; therefore, they are widely used as in high-speed rail brake systems. However, with the remarkable increase running speed of trains, a great amount energy temperature induced system; new challenges generated for pad materials. In this paper, were prepared addition various hard particles phase, order to obtain good performance. The experimental results showed that moderate strengths proper properties. effects on behaviors investigated. coefficient (COF) increased temperature, resulting from integrated film, graphite, material softening. variation trends wear loss rate temperatures similar those COFs, which significantly reduced particles.
